Author’s Bio

 

Kathy Braun

For 12 years Kathy Braun was a karma yogi, a volunteer resident in service,  at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres in New York, California and the Bahamas and also at Integral Yoga Satchitananda in Yogaville, Virginia.  It transformed her life. She has since taught yoga in many different ways and venues.

Previous to that she had a career as an actor, director and producer.  Her best bragging rights are from having acted in the New York Shakespeare Festival and appearing on stage with Meryl Streep and Sam Waterston.

In her youth, she authored a children’s. book, “Kangaroo & Kangaroo”, with wonderful award winning illustrations by James McMullan. published by Doubleday.

She is a certified clinical hypnotherapist.

She spent some lovely years standing on a deck contemplating Life and Nature while taking pauses from being an auxiliary suburban mom to three children.

“Bhagavad” is from the Sanskrit - one of many thousand words for “God.”

It is pronounced ‘BOG-uh-vod.’

Bhagavad Gita means Song of God.
